DIY Baby Mobile

Todays project is something I've always wanted to make, I saw a picture before of it, which I cant recall from who but it was a mobile made really simple but looked so beautiful. Its pretty simple to make and I wanted to show you how to with just a few supplies you might have at home or wont cost you a ton.

Supplies needed-
Wire Wreath Form- this can be replaced by anything circle. I've seen quilting hoops used as well.

Jewelry string- I liked the clear look for a more "floating' look.

Scissors- any pair will do.

Cardstock Paper- pick your own colors to correlate with you theme.

Hot Glue gun- this is personal choice, you can use craft glue.

Metal circle- 1in is a good size, I couldn't find one at the store, so I used a key ring.

Ceiling hook- Hardware section

Spray paint- this is an optional one, my wire was green but some already come in silver, which was the color I sprayed it.

Let's get started. if you are spray painting your wire like I am you should start this process now so your wreath can be done by the time you need to tie your strings to the wreath.

I used my Cricut machine to cut out my images, I did stars, circles, Mickey heads, feathers and a Dumbo silhouette for my mobile. You can find these shapes on google images for free and just trace and cut your images if you don't have one.

I did two for each shape to do front and back.

My wire wreath has four circles so I decided to start my strings long in the middle and short towards the outside. The string size doesn't matter as long as they are spread out enough to not get tangled.

Before tying your strings to the wire wreath, I added the top wires to hang it while I worked on the strings so I can tie them on as I finish. To do this, tie 4 strings spread evenly to the wires that are on the outside. I cut mine to 15 in to hang a little low but that would depend on how high or low you want yours. Bring them together and tie a knot and tie it to the ring.

Start securing your strings in any order you wish and there you go! You have your own mobile:) I'm proud of you.
