Basics for crafting

I'm continuing to work to get my things together to get my shop going. I'm super excited to see what happens next. I've been putting a lot of work into it to make sure I have some things that I think people would like. Bows and bow ties are really what I enjoy the most, its like the little embellishment that puts together an outfit.

Can't wait to make some more projects! I've been really wanting to look at bigger projects like sign making but not enough space at the time so its on the to-do list for when I do get the space. Its been so mesmerizing at how much supplies I have accumulated over the last few years. A lot of sale shopping is what I can give credit to and it doesn't hurt to have that extra 40% off from Hobby Lobby for the things that aren't on sale. I started my supply collection with:

Scissors- a good pair of scissors will cost you a little extra but I like to start with a cheap pair and if I see that I'm cutting more than I think then I invest in a good pair

Sewing kit- making or mending, a small sewing kit with just the basics is good to have. If you prefer a sewing machine, that's great too!

Hot glue gun - this is a Must for diyers, there are plenty of affordable hot glue guns and the glue sticks come in big packs.

X-acto knife- to cut the tiny things scissors cant and make more precise cuts.

Paint markers- these can be used on a bunch of projects and just starting with a small set and buying more as you need them will grow your collection.

Painters tape- great for keeping those messy projects from bleeding where you don't want. (Trust me, I've tried regular tape and it doesn't work)

Spray paint- for those upcycle projects, to bring new life to old things. They come in a variety now and easier than ever to use.

mod podge- the most versatile product you are ever going to buy, its an adhesive, primer and sealer in one. There are 100's of projects that call for this and has many different finishes.

Of course, a lot of these depend on the kind of projects you are into but when I want to make a quick gift a lot of these really come in handy to have around.

Until next time my lovelies,

Ariel
